'Feel the Funeral'
Funeral Trade Fair 2008: 16th-18th October 2008

The funeral fair, which is held every four years, will be held in 2008 from Thursday 16th till Saturday 18th October in the ‘Evenementen Hall’ in Gorinchem, under the initiative of the VTU working together with the NUVU, The organization of the fair with the theme “Feel the Funeral” is in the hands of the Evenementen Hall in Gorinchem.

Broad offers - Financially possible
The aim of the Funeral Fair 2008 is to bring together as many business disciplines as possible from the international funeral branch. “For a successful fair, it is very important that there are broad possibilities for the visitors and that the costs for the people involved in the fair are financially possible;” stated the VTU chairman Arno Damhuis. “We are certain that, in choosing the Evenementen Hall in Gorinchem, we have found an excellent location both for the visitors and for the exhibitors from our own country as well as from abroad.”

“We have already started preparing for the fair together with the NUVU and the Evenementen Hall some months ago;” Arno Damhuis said. “Of course, it is a challenge not only to organize a lovely fair but also to create an interesting and topical program. So much is happening in our branch.”

Attractive reductions for VTU members
During the funeral fair, exhibitors can choose either for a standard stand or set up their own. Both possibilities include among others, catering and free parking. “In addition, the tariff is very reasonable for a really broad scale of exhibitors;” Arno Damhuis explained. “VTU members, if they have become a member before 1st October 2007, have the right to an attractive reduction in the price per square meter of the stand.”

VTU – NUVU
Since 1993, the “Vereniging Toeleveranciers voor de Uitvaartbranche” VTU (The Association of Suppliers for the Funeral branch) is the chief organization for the suppliers of funerals, graveyards, crematories and mortuaries.
The “Nederlandse Unie van erkende Uitvaartondernemingen” NUVU (the Dutch Union for known Funeral organizations) is the largest significant organization for independent funeral organizations.

The “Evenementen Hall” in Gorinchem
The “Evenementen Hall” in Gorinchem – part of the Van der Most Group – was opened in the beginning of 2005. This complex – with four thousand free parking spaces – is easy to reach, in a central position in the country and directly off and next to the motorway A 15.

Opening times for the Funeral Fair
Thursday16th and Friday17th October 2008: 11.00 – 22.00 hrs
Saturday 18th October: 10.00 – 17.00 hrs
